Zenimax Media, the developer of The Elder Scrolls Online and other titles, saw an imminent threat in the name of a Kick-started survival game. Prey for the Gods, a survival game developed by the indie studio No Matter Studios, is the name that threatens the path of the upcoming FPS called Prey, which is developed by Bethesda Software, a subsidiary of Zenimax.
Apparently, a state of boredom has installed at Zenimax’s legal department, so they decided to chase the state by threatening No Matter Studios with legal action. In a newsletter, the indie studio announced that they changed the name of their project to “Praey of the Gods”. “This is really something no starting company should have to deal with let alone a tiny team of 3. So the fact that we came out the other end intact still developing the game was a win. One that will no doubt shape our company moving forward.” said the indie studio in a blog post.
As you may know, Zenimax was recently awarded with $500 million in its lawsuit against Facebook over Oculus Rift, so Zenimax tries to keep it in shape.
