Nielsen, the global information, data, and measurement company made public its 2017 report on gaming market. Shortly, this report reveals that more Americans are dedicating their free time to gaming. The statistics agency revealed some interesting surveyed information regarding the gaming habits of the American gamers as follows:
– 64% of U.S. population 13 years of age and older are gamers are gamers in 2016, up from 63% in 2015;
– Xbox One players spent 50% of their time playing, while the PS4 players only 48%;
– 46% of gamers only play on one device in 2017, up from 42% in 2016;
– the number of gamers who play on two devices is down from 40% to 38%;
– 47% of the American players prefer to play on console, while only 27% play on PC and 26% on mobile;
– more men currently own VR/AR devices than women, with the current ratio at 57:43;
Overall, the American people devote 12% of their leisure time for gaming in 2017, up from 11% in 2016.
