Local reports indicate that Pearl Abyss, the developer of Black Desert, followed the full-fledged procedure in order to be listed on KOSDAQ, a trading board from South Korea. If the listing procedure goes as planned, Pearl Abyss is expected to be listed in September. The Korean studio achieved sales of $25,3 million and an operating profit of $15.4 million in the second half of 2016.
Black Desert, studio’s main “product” is currently available in many regions around the world, achieving great results. It’s worth mentioning that a mobile version of Black Desert is currently under development, so the game’s world expansion continues. Currently, there is no information regarding the value that Pearl Abyss aims to achieve with this IPO.
