ZeniMax, the American game developer started a lawsuit against Oculus in May 2014. The lawsuit alleges claim that the technology used to create the Oculus Rift headset was stolen from ZeniMax. Last year, ZeniMax added an amended complaint to the case which was pointing towards John Carmack, the id Software co-founder and Oculus’ current chief technology officer.
Back then, ZeniMax stated that Palmer Luckey, the co-founder of Oculus is not the inventor of VR headset, and that Facebook purchased Oculus after being provided documentation of the alleged theft (John Carmack). ZeniMax’s lawsuit against Oculus is now in Court, and Zenimax wants only $2 billion in compensation, the same amount of money for which Facebook bought Oculus.
We ca be sure that this trial will have many days and many twists, so you can relax and let them do the acting.
